Making momo

Due to ISA(International School Award) we class 8 students got a chance to make Momo. Momo is south asian dumpling. It is a stuffed dumpling. Making it in home was not much fun but preparing it with friends and teachers made it so much interesting and fun. We got to know the process of preparing it it. 
We were preparing it for the whole school including teaching staffs, non-teaching staafs, students. We had to make it for about 463 persons. So, on the very first day we discussed about it and divided our work in 4 groups. On the other day we collected money from everyone and went to buy ingredients needed for preparing momo in the local market of ganesthan. All of us brought utensils which was required
for preparing it. On the same day we cutted the vegetables and prepared dough because we were preparing momo on the next day. And finally on the next day we were making. On that day while i came to school all of my friends had arrived and started making it. Then, I too joined them and helped in preparing it. Our teachers were instructing us. All of us were busy doing different works. Some of us were cooking, washing utensils, mixing kima,etc. After it was cooked we started distributing it to everyone. Because we were not habituated it was prepared little late. Some of us were really hungry so we ate some momos hiding with our teachers. It was fun hiding and eating it. 
I would like to thank our teachers Deepak sir, Khem sir, Kamal sir, Aarati Mam for giving is a chance to make momo. I would also like to thank my school for leeting us organize this program. Participating in this program was really fun. We got to know about different things.

      Travelling is different for everyone. Some people travel for work, for family, for tourism, for adventure, for culture, and beyond these all as well. Travelling provides us with new experiences and perspectives. We are able to see the world in a different way and learn about new things as well as about ourselves. During our travels, we see new things that we have never experienced in our daily life before. By travelling, we can make new friends, and, most importantly, we can understand how tiny we are.Before, I had gone to hike with my friends for many times. I too have traveled with my family many times, but it was the first time (2075/08/21-22) I spent my two days one night long tour with my friends. For this trip, we were altogether 41 students and 4 teachers( Bijay sir, Rajan sir, Murari sir and Sarita mam) ready to travel. We departed from school at 11:15 a.m. We all sang the song played in the bus and dance all along the way to camp spring wood at Dhading. We reached there at 3:00 p.m. , all tired and surprised to see the view of that place where we were going to enjoy at night. In the queue, one of the staff of that camp spring wood listed out all the rules that need to be followed out by us. All the activities that we have performed are briefly described below.

1) Lunch time:

                           After being refresh and keeping our belongings in respective tents, we came to the restaurant nearby the place we were staying and had lunch. In lunch, we ate beaten rice and curry. It was too tasty2) Visit to beach:

                                We went to beach side of the Trishuli river where the sand was so deep that we couldn't take out our foot without some effort. We played with water for sometime which was very cold and refreshing.3) Evening Walk:

                                Sometimes after the visit, we all students and teachers went for a walk across the Trishuli river using jholunge bridge. Across that river there is a very beautiful place but we couldn't stay for long time due to darkness.      It was dark when we came from the evening walk. The staffs light the campfire. We all started to dance in the song played at the speaker. We had our heavy dinner. Our teacher Rajan sir started to prepare chicken barbecue after sometimes.We all ate it and it was very tasty. Some boys too played guitar and madal and sang the songs. We all enjoyed very much. . I got to learn many things through this trip. I feel as I'm the luckiest person in the world to have this joyful experience. I express by heartful gratitude to our teachers who made this plan to take us tour at Dhading.

Tihar is the second biggest Nepalese festival after Dashain. It is considered to be of great importance as it shows a contribution to not just the humans and the gods, but also to the animals like crows, cows, and dogs that maintain an intimate relationship with humans. People make patterns on the floor of living rooms or courtyards using several coloured flowers in ancients days nowadays they use the materials such as colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals outside their house, called Rangoli, which is meant to be a sacred welcoming area for the Gods and Goddesses, mainly Goddess Laxmi.^[5][6]

Crows and ravens are worshiped by offerings of sweets and dishes placed on the roofs of houses. The cawing of crows and ravens symbolizes sadness and grief in Nepali culture, so devotees offer crows and ravens food to avert grief and death in their homes. Tihar represents the divine attachment between humans and other animals.

Another interesting observation during Tihar days in Nepal is gambling: during the days of the festival, it's allowed to gamble, while the rest of the year it's illegal for Nepalese citizens to gamble.^[7]

Dashain is the greatest festival of Hindu religion. The festival is celebrated for 15 days worshiping the Goddess Durga. It usually falls in the month of Ashwin or Kartik. Dashain is also regarded as one of the longest and biggest festival of the year.
This time I went to my village and celebrated     Dashain. In 24^th of Ashwin we celebrated Ghatasthapana which was the first day of Dashain.
  

Phulpati:                                                                            On 30^th of Ashwin was celebrated as Phulpati. In this day all members of my family went to worship lord Durga in temple.   

Asthami:

This was celebrated on 31^th Ashwin. Asthami is also regarded as 8^th day of Dashain. This day many people in the Nepal used to it celebrate by sacrificing animals to Durga and Kali. They used to sacrifice mainly goat in the temple. Our family also sacrificed a goat in the temple and on that day we called the relatives in our house and we had meat of goat.

Dashami:

This day was celebrated on 2^nd kartik is known for putting tika. On this day we take tika and Jamara from our elders and receive their blessing and the Murat for putting tika was 09:51 AM. Elder member of the family started to put tika for younger member and start to give blessing. Everything was good and all member of my family and relatives were happy and they were feeling wonderful. We took some photographs while putting tika. Everyone in the member put tika to each other. I also received tika and Jamara from my parents, elders and relatives. The day went very good with my parents and all the relatives.

teej

Hi i am Monik maharjan . I am going to write about Teej. Teej is a festival celebrated by Nepali women, for the long life of her husband and long and firm relationship between them until the death this life and all the lives to come. Teej is observed for marital happiness, well-being of spouse and children and purification of own body and soul. Teej is  the most famous festival among Nepali women. 

The folk music and dances add more flavor to traditional values of Teej. It is fascinating to see women, in “Red” dancing and singing on the street, going to temple in holy and fasting mood. Teej is also called Hari Talika Teej. This festival is celebrated by Nepali Hindu women all across the world.

Teej is a small red insect that comes out of the soil during the rainy season. It is said Teej got its name from the same red insect.

about my father

A father is someone everyday who has a day full of profound reflection and that is with regard to his children and family.my father name is pun kumar maharjan.he is a police officer. He is the most important member of the family whose love for his children is just like oxygen for the survival of the lives. There’s nothing that big that he could not do for his family and there’s no such sacrifice that he will not do.

It is the quality possessed by my father too. My father's name is dillip pahadi. He is in late 40's. It's my father who encourages me to be best in my class. He is the reason that makes me understand what’s wrong and what’s right and stops me from acquiring the bad and unethical ways of life. My father is very honest, courageous, hard working, good natured and very friendly person. My father is disciplined and he does not like to quarrel with others. He completes his work in time and sticks to his schedule and is always punctual. He is always polite. He believes in the powers of words, and makes sure his words do not hurt anyone.

My father wants me to be a good human being with high morals. He believes in simple living, high thinking. My father isu an ideal and role model for me. I love my father. He the best father in the world. I want to make my father proud of me, so I'm trying my best to work hard and achieve my goal. I'm very grateful to him for giving me such a prosperous life.
